The ORIGIN of the Birman

couv3C0381-lo-1

The origin of the Birman cats is surounded by intentional mystery and fog. Mme Léotardi, who is the first to breed them and was, unfortunately, an infamous mythomane and known scammer, pretended these cats were imported from Burma and inadvertently stolen from an imaginary temple, in high Burma. There is nothing less true than this.

In my book I finally reveal the real story of the Birman cat and how it was created in the 1920s.
